How to maintain your relationship with your partner, is totally dependent upon you and your mate. Good relationship can be created by people, but it breaks just because of lack of trust, unfaithfulness and dishonesty.

Basically, you get out of a relationship what you put into it. Sound simple enough? Well, it's not as easy as it sounds, but it's very possible to have that type of relationship with your partner.

Perhaps the first rule in gaining trust is to avoid breaking a person's trust in the first place. Don't succumb to the temptation of cheating or doing something that you know would betray your partner.

Always speak the truth and never lie. If you avoid the truth once, your partner would not know when you would lie again in future. If you lied about your lateness, it will cause your partner to stay alert on the time that you reach home.You would have lost your partner's faith in you simply like this.

Guard your emotions, and your temper. If your partner makes a mistake and feels as if they will anger you, or cause a disagreement that is emotionally charged, it is likely that they will be hesitant to share the truth with you.

Love cannot grow without trust. They're two different things but need each other to survive. You can never say you love someone but doesn't trust her, can you? Like love, trust is a very delicate thing. Once it's broken, it's next to impossible to get it back, so value it, nurture it.

Let your actions show who you are. By being a kind person who is always willing to help out others, You will be gaining trust in others and in return will be gaining trust in a relationship.

Make sure you communicate in a way that is accurate and open. Be clear about what you are communicating about as this will let your partner know your exact intentions.

Forgive and forget- This is very difficult to forget everything but if your partner is trying to start a fresh relationship with you, so it is a great chance for you. So do not let it go...

There might come a time when you will lose hope and trust in a relationship but that doesn't necessarily mean the relationship is over. It only means that you both have to work harder in the relationship to gain back the love and trust you used to have.

It's important to learn how to build trust in a relationship. If you're not used to sharing your life with another person, some of these steps might be a little difficult to follow. However, once you understand the reason behind them, you'll be able to adjust yourself accordingly.
